Is this a precedent that the yanks can take control of adthe just because they want to and will this mean they will record my IP address and forward it to the rozzers?

Its just the domain they seem to take i think,adthe has moved to new one and still works,begs will explain as i know nothing about what you asked

The .net bit of atdhe.net comes from the US. .com etc. are the same.

Site names like anysite.co.uk, anysite.tv, anysite.de won't be able to be seized as they fall under UK, Tivolu and German control. It's slightly more complicated than that but those are the basics.

They aren't seizing the servers themselves (don't know about US based servers), just the name and re-directing people trying to reach that site to the government page.

ATDHE is on a Swedish server so he just had to register the site with a non-US domain name.
