Windows updates

My desktop has for the last three days said "configuring windows updates 0%" on startup and every time it is turned off says updates 1 of 4, do not turn off. Any ideas?

Glenman , go to control panel >systems&security>windows update and install from there
sounds as if they failed to install

There was an update on the 26th but when I clicked on it it asked if I wanted to uninstall it so it must have installed it? The update sign is beside the shut down button so it is going to do the same thing again later grrr.

go to start orb > type in 'installed updates' > a list will come up and then you can selct any windows update and uninstall it. Go back to when you last had no trouble i guess.
