tvu is usually the most reliable and best quality.
have you tried taking it out completly via control panel and reinstalling.
you could also try installing from a different site

Can i ask a (probably stupid) question? I can get TVU to load into VLC player as the 1st instructions say, but then what do i do with TVU as i end up with VLC and TVU playing it, if i go to 'Stop Playing' on TVU then all that happens is TVU stops and then 5 secs later so does VLC, if i close TVU same thing. I want to know so i can hook VLC to my PS3 with TVersity! Cheers.

I'm pretty sure you have to keep TVU playing for it to work in VLC.

Latest TVU v2.3.5. beta4 [build 998]
Posted this in the "feedback thread" then realised it will get deleted soon, so pasted below.

I got fed up with the TVU update popup and decided to accept the update to v2.3.5. beta4 [build988]. So far so good, i'm currently watching the Milan game on Fox and the video quality is very good indeed, though this might also be the same on older versions of TVU.
The most notable improvement for me was that I was watching the stream within 20 seconds.

Here's the "README" pasted below, that came with it.
Accie might be pleased with the optional Turkish interface.

Release note for TVUPlayer version "v2.3.5beta4[build988]"
NEW FEATURES:
=============
- New Broadcaster tab with broadcaster blog, link to broadcaster's URL, and ability to send an
email to the broadcaster
- Tell a Friend button
- Continuing channel quality improvements
- User interface in Turkish (thanks to viewer Serafettin for the translation!)
- Additional features for 2.3.5 beta 4: we've improved a number of algorithms that will help
you watch smaller TVU channels (faster and more reliable startup, fewer interruptions) and that
will generally improve Signal strength across the network
GENERAL NOTES:
==============
- Windows Media Player (WMP) 9 or later is required
- WMP 10 or later version is strongly recommended (using WMP 9 may result in distorted video)
- See http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/
For more information, please visit: http://www.tvunetworks.com
The TVUPlayer is free software from TVU Networks. If anyone has sold you this software, they did so
without our permission; we suggest you demand a refund.

Cheers mate, so I just keep them both running? like both streaming simultaneously? How does it work anyway, TVU player is streaming the image but VLC would be streaming the stream of the stream! I'll end up like 15 minutes behind the actual game!

Yeah keep them both running, usually I find that VLC one is slightly ahead of the other one, I don't know how it all works lol just that it does.

Cheers, got it working now, yeah its weird cos VLC is ahead! mad. Got it streaming from VLC to the PS3, picture looks half decent, even on a large TV, guessin thats cos the res of a standard TV is poor compared to a monitor?
