Heard them say in one town of 20000 at least 10000 are missing. The only news this week will be bad news. Mother nature seems to be getting worse, she is not happy. Why innocent people like Japan ?

Guess it's more likely to happen if you live in certain places unfortunately. Still getting 7.7 aftershocks so it may not be over yet for them...

Some of the worst images of natural disaster I have ever seen on the news. Truly devastating.

look at the silo type buildings in the top of the picture smashed on one side and debri hanging off the other and then have a look at one of the army men walking around and you can get an idea of how big the first wave was. If i lived in the house in the foreground of the picture i would be thanking my lucky stars and feeling guilty no doubt -

I know the japaneese are well prepared for quakes in the cities, just suprised they didn't seem to have plans for the risk of a tsunami, maybe people were given some warning, just happens so quick. Some of the videos are unbelievable for all the wrong reasons, never stood a chance.

I think the Japanese have lost control of the Fukushima nuclear site big time now. I'm no nuclear scientist, but dropping sea water from helicopters seems like utter desperation to me. Most of it would never reach it's intended target anyway, just dispersing over a wide area.
There are at least 4 reactors there.... all of them fooked by the looks. God help the population if they go into full meltdown.

I see they managed to get power going to cool one of them down now, but like you say god knows how the others are going to hold up. Sure puts a big question mark over using that sort of energy for the future, anywhere really.
