Some mod has 'killed' the earlier thread. I disagree with what he's done. There were just people expressing their opinions. Some better than others.

There was no 'I'm going to shoot you' stuff going on, so I reckon that whoever deleted the thread was wrong.

Yeah it's a fucking disgrace. We were debating, not fighting. I know we were coming from completely different ends of the spectrum Begbie but if you can't even debate in this place then what's the point?

Another fucking mod who's too thick to follow a debate, probably didn't even read it, just saw some long posts and words with more than 8 letters in and presumed it was too much for everyone.

nope , did notice it had gone just before i logged off last night , pity as although a delicate subject that provoked deep and sometimes emotional responses it was a intriguing and enjoyable debate ,showing the diferent views ,opinions and reasoning that all who have a interest in the subject and the events associated with it have

Glenman i would also like to congratulate Graeme on a superb victory at Pebble beach to follow up his sucess in Wales the other week

given the subject matter and the involvement of several mods myself included in the now deleted thread i think it would have been better if whomever deleted it had stated to the rest of us (at least staff) that they felt the thread had reached a unaceptable level and should be closed (which would i think have sufficed if it was fealt inappropriate) prior to deleting it

it is just a pity that this thread was not allowed to reach its natural end which i am sure it would have and i also think with those who had contributed reaching a mutual middle of the road type of acceptance of each others views or at least their right and reason to hold and express them
but please dont think that is a criticism of their choosing to act ,as we all make calls in an instance , but for more delicate threads it is perhaps something we should seriously consider in the future
close thread , discuss , the either re-open or delete
i am sure it will occur again that a subject will arise that needs carefull monitoring and perhaps guidance posted to allow it to continue before any need to terminate it is enforced

You're telling me, really awful place. Only came back to be near family for some personal reasons. Hopefully moving to New Zealand within a year, fingers crossed.
