What's going to happen when a Tory or Lib-Dem gets caught out by the News of the World trying to bum an Arab sheik?

Will their coalition partners close ranks behind them?

You're comparatively young. The Social Libertarian/Authoritarian reading will come down as you age. I did a similar test about 30 years ago and was a left-wing militant. Now I'm Gandhi or Jade Goody.

Haven't a clue if it means I am a nazi or Mother Theresa? You compare Gandhi to Goody? Interesting.

Sharky and/or New'un will understand the Goody reference.

So the rich enough business men don't need to worry about just the working class then.

if as expected the raising of the tax threashold to 10k then that should more than cover the cost of the 1% rise for almost everyone earning up to around 26k
a slight increase 1p in pound for those earning over 26k wont do too much harm to anyone , a 1% increase across the board for employers could be too much in this current climate
200 employees on 15k x 1% = 26k perhaps enough to tip a business over or lead to 2 or 3 lay offs ,i am sure it is better someone earning 18k plus is a few pence a week worse off than people loosing their job and small medium employers folding

I always thought that was the ironic part, the employers (who all supported Cameron) saying they didn't want to pay it when in reality it probably would not have affected them at all (in profit terms). Who knows?

Anyway, it seems the first unpopular piece of legislation is going through:

it would though even the bank of England stated it could have a negative effect on both growth and employment

as re- disolvement the reason given was for stability (needed) but like everyone else i dont buy that for a second it is there to help prevent a collapse the first second third time the inevitable conflicts /splits occur in the coalition
if a change in majority for dissolvement was to occur it should be either by vote in commons or by national referendum
we shall see if its is cleared in the commons and ofcourse the lords can always block it
