The FSI good-food guide
Frankfurters!
Nobody likes them in the English-speaking world except the Yanks, but...
The next time you see 'Red Dog Chilli' frankfurters in your local Tesco 'use by today' section, buy them (they're always there). Ignore the cooking instructions, fry the feckers instead and stick them between two slices of loaf. Frying really helps.
Add a fried egg for additional pleasure.

May i offer my cheese burger wraps?
Simple, slice up some beef burgers, fry them til they're cook (best practice).
Place them in a wrap with neighbour of choice - may i suggest bacon and/or egg.
Add sliced lettuce and tomato.
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Top with preferred sauce (ketchup).
Wrap it up, and feast. Buns will now be a thing of the past.

7 day pizza.. the main ingredient is a stale loaf or preferably baguette
the other required ingredients are a tomato sauce of some sorts.. tomato frito is perfect! and cheese.. any cheese will do..
Toppings.. these can be anything you have in the fridge! Onions are always a good choice, especially pickled onions!
The secret ingredient to any 7 day pizza is some dried origano from the spice rack.. stick that on top and any old shite will smell and look authentic!
grill it for 5-10 mins or until the cheese has melted, if the cheese came from a foil triangle it might not melt, the pizza is done when the bread starts smoking..
voila! 7 day pizza!

Oregano? You're spoiling us Mister Ambassador. That's just gilding the lily.

A good thread this one. I like the sound of Rev's and scudd's efforts.

Just add a wee drop of cumin and you've got chilli con carne. Add a tin of tomatoes, not water.
Schtachie
When boiling spuds, boil a few extra.
Next day, mash the extra spuds with a tin of corned beef and fold in a finely chopped onion. Add a big wallop of Worcester sauce (optional) or the flavouring of your choice and stir.
Fry the fucker until it's crispy on the bottom. Turn it over and repeat. If required, mix it up with the big spoon and fry again.
Piquant.
