I think the answer is -5. The oppisite of a number is it's negative and vice versa so the opposite of -5 is 5. I think...

Bullshit. That assumes that assumes that zero is your axis. There is no logical reason to assume this. A number is a number is a number.

If you choose an axis of -1, the opposite of 5 is -7, working within those terms.
