From what i've read you should be able to stream any internet content regardless of what app it is - released early 2009 seems Playon have a bit of work to do still with this hardware - http://cdr-info.com/Sections/Reviews...rticleId=28146
I just recently bought my own PlayonHD but I have not found a way to stream internet content. I have upgraded to the latest firmware.
The box has great support for all kinds of multimedia format, so it is not an issue with the capabilities.
One way of watching Sopcast in VLC is to enter 127.0.0.1:8902 into VLC when the stream is running. You might be able to do something similar on POHD. I don't know very much about POHD so this post might be a crock.
Edit: An afterthought, set up Sopcast with POHD as the default player. Details here.
