Sopcast, TVAnts & TVUPlayer Question
As this is my first request I would really appreciate someone helping me out in my probelm, or for some people might be a general question.
I firstly live in the UK, which is hard for sometimes for me to watch a stream perfectly thanks to the many ISP's who filter connection give you less bandwidth than you have actually been contracted by them.
This brings me to my question that, I would like someone to help me out to forward ports for all these three programs, but how do I do it and with my router being : Netgear DG834G
Thank you for your time

There's a guide for your modem here. Just skip or ignore any ads to do it automatically. They're trying to sell you something.
If the programs you are forwarding aren't on the list, just pick one and wing it from there. It'll show you how to forward a port.
The ports required for Sopcast and TvAnts are on the relevant pages here, although it doesn't make a lot of difference, unlike uTorrent.

Hey, I would like to thank you for your quick response. But as you've said in your reply, the list of programs that I require port forwarding are not on this website. I gather that I just pick any program, but wouldn't that be a good idea when some settings for other programs might not resemble the program that is needed
I sound confusing, but I am just lost by what you meant.
Thanks once more!!!

For your modem, type 192.168.0.1 in as an URL on your browser and press <ENTER>, this will get you to the modem settings. Then just pick a random application from the list on the modem page. Use that as a guideline on how to forward ports on that modem. Just forward the ports that you require for your programs, not the ports required for the application that you are using as a guide.

It speeds µTorrent up a lot, not so much for P2P applications. I've opened mine J-I-C.
