At the moment when I watch a match I just choose it from the various streamers (is that right?) that is beside the list of available games.
For the most part I get a game to watch, but may have to try different, streamers to get one to work. apart from the pesky popup adverts all has been well.
My questions is, I see folk talking about "sopcast" should I download a programme if I can already see a game. Is there benefits from downloading programmes/softwear?

Sopcast doesn't get taken down for 'copyright reasons' like the browser streams.
On the plus side for Sopcast, if you have a reasonable download speed on your internet and a reasonably specced computer, some streams can be almost TV quality nowadays.
On the negative side, the stream is often farther behind live than the browser streams.
Re: the adverts. Get something like Ad-block Plus installed. It's free and you don't have to watch the rubbishy popups. I think Ad-block Plus only works on Chrome and Firefox but there are others out there.
cheers guys, I am pretty puter ignorant, but will watch the vid and look into the adblock thing. but to be honest will prolly have to get my son or daughter to sort it.

.... or top right (in my case). Choose Fanboy's list of ads to block.
Works a treat, not worked out how to put in manual channel number, looks like you can put in the full url ok. However clicked on a digi sport link from the front page and loaded and played no problem. A must for the euros, nice 1.
