in preparation for the City match tomorrow I checked on Sopcast by watching the Stoke v Blackburn match, Sopcast worked fine!

I then tried the Chelsea and Arsenal games only to discover that there was no picture and halfway down the screen was a squiggly green line! Could here the commentary though!

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I am on Windows 7 and use Firefox.

I have uninstalled Sopcast and then installed again. Would love to know why this is happening - also occurred last season!

Thanks!!!

It could be missing Codecs but....

First of all, I would download and install VLC Player. It's free. As usual, with any install, choose 'Custom Install' (if offered) and choose not to install any tool-bars or 'make me defaults'. They are a pain in the hole.

If you get a black screen in Sopcast, try watching it via VLC. Instructions about half-way down the page here. Use the 'Watch Sopcast via VLC automatically' bit.

If you are still getting nothing, post back and we'll try a different tack.

Tried VLC.....got this Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/111378'. Check the log for details.

Load the stream in Sopcast then click the wee symbol that looks like two squares overlapping at the bottom of the Sopcast window. VLC should open if you made it your default payer for Sopcast, as described in the above link.

Codec Pack might work. It usually affects old versions of Windows. http://download.cnet.com/K-Lite-Mega...-10794603.html

The way round this is to right click sop link. run as administrator. Then right click the sop link and copy link address, now paste into the sopcast address bar. Then hit the white arrow.
