Sopcast help please
everytime i open up sopcast or click on a link to watch via sopcast as soon as the player opens i get the microsft error sending report, if i click either send or dont send, sopcast just automaticly closes down? sometimes i can leave the error report alone and still watch the games but like just now the boxing would play for about 15-20 seconds then the whole programme closed? does anyone know how i can solve this??

ive just uninstalled sopcast and about to try a re-install got the same problem Eggy when trying to locate a stream for valencia game
if you are using vista try running sop as admin but i think it may have been a fault with the player it self

Problems with sopcast
I downloaded SopCast version 2.0.4. The first time whenever I download, all seems to work perfect without any hitch. However, after few days like one day etc and I wanna launch it again, it says 'SopCast main App is not compatible with SopCast core module' And I tried reinstalling as they suggested but everytime it is the same, it works for the first time but that is the last time. I am increasingly getting frustrated by this, any help? Thanks.

Suzie click on favorites (star button) & then back to channel list. It works for me.

I occasionally get the same message as Enigmatic. I reinstall the latest the latest version, it plays ok for a while, then announces that the main App isn't compatible. Then I reinstall the latest....

the only thing you can do is either try the fav then back to channel list or close the player and re-open it
i noticed it used to happen if i used wmp for the streams as opposed to the sop player itself
sorry cant help any more its a fault at the end , if we solve it you will know

SopCast / PPMate interference
Sopcast was working well. I then installed PPMate, and then Sopcast failed, with a message about having an incompatible component.
Is this a known issue? I have uninstalled both, and want to know if there is a correct order to install these, or a way to prevent them from interfering with each other.

trickwell if the error message was regarding sopoxc then it is unrelated to the installing of ppmate
there is a new version of sopcast and some of us can still use the older version other get that error message or others and need to upgrade sopcast
try the new version of sopcast that should fix the problem

The error message was the same as in the message from Enigmatic at the top of this thread. Seems like multiple viewers could interfere with each other. Anyone else seen the same sequence
?

i still think it is more liablr to be a fualt with sopcast itself rather than any conflict with other players
i admit since changing computer i only have 4 or 5 players loaded but previously i had them all without any problems
sopcast seemed to develop a problem in the old version recently as yet i havent had a problem with the new one but others are starting to get the same problem when i get a chance i will have a look in the sopcast forum see if anything on it in there

Problems with Sopcast
Hi - I already have sopcast downloaded but lately I keep getting a message that says I havn't got it downloaded. Is there a new version I need to download. Do I need to delete the current version I have?
And now when I try to watch a match in Sopcast I get about a dozen windows open up with a whole lot of Romanian crap on them. It's like a virus or something. This has started happening after I watched some mixed martial arts on a Sopcast channel.
Please, How can i clean all this up and get Sopcast working properly again? I'm hopeless with this kind of thing so please give me basic, step by step instructions

I may be wrong, but I'd guess that it's saying that you don't have the Sopcast web-player installed, and you only get the message when trying to watch a Sopcast stream which is embedded in a web page.
Chocolate tea-pot time. I get it too and don't know how to fix it.

sopcast not buffering just on and off constant
I can still get a good picture on tvu but sopcast is buffering up to around the 100 but the pcture is on and off every second.
i had this problem once before and cured it by taking it off and reinstalling, but this time im stuck.
Normally I just stick with T.V.U. and Sopcast as they usually suffice for the bulk of games.
I have just done a speed test on thinkbroadband which shows speed down at 1888.63Kbps (1.8 Mbps) and speed up as 187.87 Kbps(0.2Mbps) which means nothing to me can this flashing be rectified or do i need a strobe light to view

Have you tried using VLC player to watch the Sopcast stream?
If Sopcast fails to fully buffer or you get a black screen then play in VLC player. Open Sopcast let channel buffer. Open VLC > Click 'File' > 'Network stream' > Check HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS:// > enter 127.0.0.1:8902 > Click OK. Leave Sopcast running with the sound turned down.
