Snooker Player Higgins admits match fixing
I'm disappointed with this. I like John Higgins a lot. What's happening to sport? Very sad. News reports suggesting he could face a ten year ban. I hope it's two years with one suspended. What a mess.

big money is happening to sport. It's not a new thing though it's just the press making a big deal about it. I was fucken pissed off when Massa pulled over for Alonso a few grand prix's back and got a pissy 100,000 penalty which is nothing to those guys. What about the poor bassas that had a bet on Massa winning. Really put me off F1 - and what put me off more was no one in charge there thought it was a big deal. No integrity.

I remember that Deadly.
I have a feeling snooker will hammer Higgins for this though. It's been a bad last decade or so for the sport with people turning away from the game in droves. Hearn looking to smarten things up, may well hit higgins with everything. Hearn must be seething as Higgins would have been big part of campaign to get the game back on track

lol. Yeah, I think the worlds, the uk and the masters will stay the same elf. But they have to try something no? I love the sport, watch it all the time and have watched it live quite a few times over the years. It's been odd looking at some tournaments on tv and seeing so many empty seats.

Well I'm a bit surprised!!!
I did say yesterday that the punishemnt shouldn't be too draconian, but this is pathetic. If Barry Hearn wants credibility in the game, is this the way to go about it?
