Sky Go player
Is anyone having any problems with the sky go player? It re-registered my laptop 3 times as a new device but it only allows you to register 2 devices per month soo now ive to wait until next month to register it and the sky go player wont work until i do. Has anyone had any similar problems or any idea how to stop it?

iv had problems since mid November. it keeps playing for a day or two then it says this pc is not registered ??? after doing this twice in a month i cannot watch until the next month. I think i may have to endure the dreaded phone call press number 2 etc etc.

One of my friends has had similar and I have done the phone call bit on their behalf and all I got was it is automatic and can't be changed, I put it down to them going through a server which went wrong but now not so sure. Tell us how you get on if you do call.

ITV installed some sort of thing to sense ad-block software and deny access if you had an adblock, over Christmas. It was a total bollox. People who have never heard of ad-blocking were being denied access. They've dropped the idea for the time being.
It might be related. I don't know. It might have something to do with the dynamic IP addresses that most ISPs use these days. I'm still guessing.

It is possible if you run cccleaner you are deleting the Silverllght info that Skygo depends on as silverlight is a requirement to use there player( Re phone call to them on the same problem as you have) they instructed me after asking if I use ccleaner to untick the silverlight application in the cleaner to do this open cleaner and click on applications and under the Heading Multimedia you will see the box Microsoft silverlight untick the box.this action Sky informed me will stop the problem occuring but I have to wait till next month to see if it will( Dont ask why as the answer started to lift above my head at a steady rate of knots)...tjl
