Little update on this...
A pilot test is available for people inside the UK currently only testing with BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four, CBBC and Cbeebies . You will need to apply.
Also, for the Danes there is 10 channels currently showing DR1, DR2, TV2, NRK1, NRK2, SVT1, SVT2, ARD, ZDF, and TV Polonia.
I have been testing this for a 4 days now. In my opinion the quality leaves other p2ptv apps in the dust, load times are unbelievably quick for p2p. All streams are are in native screen ratio of the channels being broadcast aka 4:3 or 16:9.:thumbwink:
One observation for any going to apply and test this, the loading time of the app itself is pretty slow under windows xp so give it time to load, the mac version loads a lot quicker.
edit: digging around inside the program itself reveals what may be or may not be the coming uk line up of channels...

downloaded and used this for the first time tonight, BBC channels all there quality is astounding for a p2p application.
quite frankly like nothing I have ever seen in the streaming world before flawless quality.
if this gets the channels it is quoting then we are in a new realm of p2p players altogether. 15 sec delay on the BBC1 feed I am currently watching :D
amazing - great find
by the way am UK based

I'll take a look later.
Those prospective channels seem at first glance to be basic digital freeview.

nothing has came into my inbox re invites if it does and once the admin and mod team are all sorted then I will give them out - but as this is a beta testing stage I dont think that is an option at the moment. Bide your time am sure the invites dont take long to be sent after you register with them.

trust me, as quoted earlier - people will not be disappointed (quality wise anyway) channels will have alot to desire but a great application in the making, it is setting the standards that will be hard to beat for quality.
lets hope they start streaming a broader range of channels.
but certainly no harm in checking out how good streams can be.

 I was just extolling the quality and said that after reading on their site, in their FAQ's is mention of PPV and they say they may have to travel down this path for certain TV channels and it was to this I was referring, they can only be referring to films or footy as that is as you are aware the main money grabbing channels and if suddenly I lost the ability to stream for free and that option was the only way out it would be to their site my money may go,going by the said quality of picture.............:drink:

 I was impressed by the quality which led me to say that,as the world of streaming is a fickle lady and things /sites are closed by the WEB police daily anything could happen, and yes I am aware that this site is doing no wrong in pointing us the way to free footy sites, non related sites have disapeared lately because of pressure from on high,so if Zattoo was the only option left open then it would be to them I would turn and not the money grabbing bastard that is $ky,as I mentioned earlier on their FAQ's there is mention of Pay per View and that is what prompted me to write that.......:drink:

Can't wait till they roll out a few more UK channels for this, quality is supreme...but there's only so many times i can watch cbeebies without feeling like Robert Murat
Seriously though, quality is easily the best yet - it will be interesting to see how they work the whole rights to content thing out, and also how it will hold up with everyone raping the bandwidth and expecting supreme quality like it gives out now. Its begging for the introduction of a "stream your own channel" addon...though I suppose the quality would be the same as is with other programs presently.
All good though, I'm impressed.

Somewhere back in the hoorah, dude asked if there was any footy on Zatto.
I stand to be corrected, but i think the answer is no.
Not as far as I can see, anyway. I live in Switzerland, I have a fast mac and internet connection, and if I would rather be watching german soaps and BBC World hysteria about how shit russians and iranians are than football, i would be stoked.
But i would not. So I am not stoked.
We have maybe thirty channels here in Switzerland, and I spent the whole of the super sunday games flicking through them, searching for premier league action like a freak.
Fuck Zattoo.

Received this today:
You’ve been among the lucky few so far to test Zattoo in the UK. We’re going to change that now. As of today, the Zattoo beta is open to everybody on the British Isles.
You will notice that the channel lineup for the public beta is different to the channel lineup that you have had the opportunity to test over the last couple of months. We have added a number of exciting new channels, but have also had to temporarily remove certain channels due to licensing issues.
We are working hard to bring back those channels as well as add even more to the next release which is planned for early 2008.
In the meantime, we hope that you continue to enjoy Zattoo. If you do, please spread the word and tell your friends. If you like it, they will too!

This is your personal invitation to be among the first to test Zattoo in
the UK.
With Zattoo you can watch your favourite TV channels live on your computer.
When we say "watch TV" we really mean it: A broad selection of national and
international channels are now live on your desktop or laptop, and we will
be adding more channels in early 2008.
Best of all: Zattoo is free!
Within minutes, you can download and install the software. And then catch
football matches at your desk. News in the kitchen with a coke. Your
favourite series can be found on your laptop, so watch it whenever you
want. At the coffee shop. At the airport. In bed.
Get Zattooed now! Click here: http://zattoo.com/register.

any ideas? You probably won't get football on Zatoo. Octoshape only works when you click on an Octoshape link. It takes you to a web-page showing the game and having Octoshape downloaded allows you to see the page. They both show little or no football.

Anyone got any idea how to send zatoo streams to an xbox with xbmc?
sounds right messy, never needed to use XB's Media Center as I can't put me chipped console online. Yer best bet is that if yer PC's graphics card has a DVI slot get yersell a DVI to HDMI Cable and fire it in the back of the telly that yi use for the Xbox. (Approx £10) and a cheap external sound card with a couple of RCA cables (£20 awe in maybe). There you have yer PC in all its glory on a big screen for all occasions, also magic for downloaded films n that.
Or if yi dont want to spend money on a second soundcard just put the PC speakers up a bit louder (assuming its in the same room).

If you can find out the url you should be able to stream it through your Xbox via a program like the Orb or TVersity. I have been using the Orb for streaming with my PS3 for quite a while now and it works really well. No messy wires. When we had the liveuk urls used to watch all me programs from me armchair, very nice.
When i get a big hdtv in the sittin room then ill prob build a nice lil htpc to play hd content (movies/tv shows) and watch my streams that way. Right now tho my pc is in my bedroom and i use xbmc on the sdtv in the sittin room + i think lower bitrate stuff like this looks better on the sdtv than my high res pc monitor.
yea i used to use the direct liveuk urls aswell to stream to xbmc, dead simple, sopcast, tvants etc is all real easy, just in zatoo i dono how to find out the real url, tried urlsnooper n stuff but aint well versed in this.
started thinkin maybe i should try and capture it with vhscrap or something n send that to vlc n then xbmc via tversity but it all gets too confusin...
Instuctions like these for zatoo would be a godsend
