down loaded uusee off sfi when unzipped & installed net gaurd said w32 self starter internet trojan maximus virus. disinfected computer & deleted uusee anyone else had a problem

That rings a bell. I think my panda (antivirus) ate something the last time I installed it. It still works though!

I'll see if I can find any info on it. It's likely to be the update file like on Pcast since the program still works.

Edit: It's not in my antivirus log. I'll have to reinstall it.

If you then look in \program files\uusee, you'll find a program called UUSeePlayer.exe. This still works. I'm guessing the uuplayer.exe program is similar to the Pcast update program which also gets flagged as a trojan & can be bypassed by loading the program directly.

I've just created a new shortcut to UUSeePlayer.exe and not had any problems apart from the odd player crash.

I'm no expert though. If you're not happy with it, don't install it.

I went into the installation folder, removed the update exe and the 2 associated files, removed the existing shortcut from the Desktop and created a new one using the player exe in the installation folder.

The prog still works perfectly afterwards.

I'm thinking the other sports channels are coming from the PPStream network which is why they take a bit longer to load.

I had installed it but it would stay loading and get nowhere. (Ran it for 8 mins)
Followed your advice and it loaded up straight away although I have not opened any channels on it yet.
As a precaution, I also removed Robos 2 update.ocx files though I didn't see his update.exe file but I guess he meant the uuplayer.exe in fractureds post.
My Nod32 av and Trojan Hunter didn't flag up anything on the original install. :o

Just tried it with Star Sports Taiwan for the Argyle v Watford game and it is an excellent stream, one of the best i've seen. This could become my player of choice if it keeps to this level of quality.

Tried this program yesterday and streamed the Rangers game with out any buffering. Great.

After running the exe, start UUsee, then press the star icon.
You will see a list you should understand. No more head scratching.

UUSee seems to be the best I have tried for GoalTV.

I have re-packed the new version and the Channel list is now on the Right hand side, if you look to the bottom right hand corner you will see 3 oblong boxes, the middle one will have (42) displayed, click on this and the Sports channels will be in English, works very well.

Hey guys. Looks like a neat application, only problem is i can't get anything on it. When i double click on a channel all i seem to be getting are adverts on a loop, what can i do to ensure i get beyond this point and actually see the programmes themselves? How would i even know if the channel was loading?

There's two different flavours of Starsports which have different schedules (Taiwan and SE Asia), (some) of the Calcio links seem to work and they're only on UUSee.

It gives you another option if you're trying to watch a 'hard to get' match. To be honest, I don't know much about it. I'm trying to get a bit of response/feedback before putting any more effort into hunting down more channels.

Just a word of warning when you install u see be careful not to install bloody chinese google toolbar like i did nightmare to get rid of when its in chinese not so easy to see what not to pick :eek:

Jake, uninstall and use the one I've used. Also, I think you can uninstall the tool bar via Control Panel, get rid of Pinme, or something similar, I can't remember.

The actuall link for uusee on first post worked for me but when i tried to use it it just never loaded so i tried the direct website link which worked but had the google bar trouble. Now uninstalled it all and reinstalled again (without google bar) from main uusee site then used your link and heh presto english channel list on number 82, like the fsi touch, thanks again8)

I haven't put a lot of effort into UUSee links in the past. If they came in (or didn't) it didnae worry me too much. UUSee seem to have picked their game up a wee bit recently so they deserve consideration.

yep, I've just checked I did everything as it said. the path of is c:/program files/uusee/uutv.my.xml ... I'm using Vista which I seems to do more harm than good, so that might be the problem...

Cheers for the feedback Mr N. I can't put my finger on the reason for it working for some and not for others. Maybe it is a Vista thang.

Personally, I find it easier to select the channel manually from the list. That way I can see 'signal strength' and know if there's any point in me wasting time waiting.

It gets rid of the toolbar that some people end up with, so might work for what you're getting.

Click start> all programs> accessories> system tools> system restore and do a restore to yesterday or a recent point BEFORE you installed UU see.

Don't bother with UU see, not really in that much use, stick to sopcast, tvu player and tv ants at a push.

I'll have a look at the download and see what the crack is, in the meantime.
