No problem with chrome and MSE. I think it's a return of the script problem. Admin are aware of the problem and are on the case.

I was away yesterday, no probs here!
Clicking on the Live streams and feedback at the top of the page I get a pull by MSE Roaming\Acpar\yfduh.exe (Whatever that is), but MSE sees it as a threat.
When I go to %appdata% on my computer (in find), I find several junk folders like the above mentioned. They have a date created/modified of todays date. I think I've removed them all and just to say, that when I click on Live Football Streams & Matchday Feedback everything is fine.
Wondering if anyone else gets this or to be aware.

A few false positives being thrown up lately. We have had this problem on and off for a few weeks now. there is no need to worry admin are on the case.
Its not so much the false negative Ste, it's the folders and crap it's creating on the computers.

may have the answer to prob both of you had
1st win Kytik detects incomplete files or lines (nothing nasty in that)
2nd a couple of links yesterday had mysql errors (streamers server not fsi related) one stating incomplete or invalid line code
when i attempted to open that link firefox stopped responding it re started itself ok may be simlar to problem you had Fish
3rd Garry what version of eset are you using as it has flagged this before with people could you try using ver 4.2.71 .2 as it doesnt falsely flag krytik

ive never picked up anything or even had a warning about FSI
feel left out :'(
have i mis read but isnt it our front page thats being flagged not the sites we linking too
ifso
to be on the front page wouldnt the dodgy script have to be in the link in that case (asuming its not in anything else banner etc)
and they are hand written not c/p of streamers posted link (usually)
but
if it was a case of it being in the link posted by streamer why not just check each link as posted for any irregularities ,would oinly need done a few times
is there any way someone has added the script to the front page via a hack ?
also just as a thought when was the last time it was checked who all accesed the control panel for front page ,im sure non of the existing or previous mods/admin would infect the page but worth making sure no unauthorised people been on page via normal means either
lets face it there are several people would be only to happy to see fsi decline or fail for various reasons and the front page is the flagship of the site in usage terms a prime target
what i would add is the forum to date has been clear of anything as best i am aware so think about it why only front page links are all on forum too
also and remeber i am only one too no members should worry even if anything was added the guys behind the scene would be on it before any of us even got a sniff of it
and as you all know by now help is always at hand should anyone have any probs with nasties regardless of where they came from
couldnt help but giggle at some of the infected sites
porn sites nah cant see any users of fsi ever visiting one of them :D:D

The issue is the page has an iframe at the bottom which is hidden out of view, The iframe loads a web page from Russia which seems very suspicious to me. (ive not loaded the page or the russian page)
It seems very typical of a 'drive by infection' method, it basically means, when someone goes on the page, malware is downloaded. It will probably log any FTP connections made by the infected user. Every couple of weeks, a script will take captured FTP details, connect to a site, and infect the pages with the same piece of code. this is how the virus automatically spreads itself. PCs may not show any signs of infection and are most probably being used for BOT attacks.
Everyone with FTP access to the site will need to virus scan and malware scan the PC, then all FTP details should be changed. If possible only FTP to the website using SFTP.
I come across this this quite a bit at work, ive never known Google to be wrong when it puts the warnings up. The page is or has been downloading something it shouldn't to peoples computers.
The code could look like a large block of JavaScript if you look at the files.
Hope this helps

Time for another full scan me thinks
You may want to check %appdata% (type that in search) and check if you have any abnormal folders that have been created today (or the day that you had the report). I had several folders created with stupid names like yfduh which I simply deleted. Make sure though that you only delete folders you know are dodgy. As I said, a good indication is that they will be created today or when you first had it.
Hope this helps:).

now 3 of those i know were from a radio player download so either it at fault or its used as a good hiding place
ive just finished cleaning comp up including wipeing the hard drive clean and re installing only essentials all well checked
now i am not saying the problem definatly came from front page as we all know some nasties can manefest even in what seems a clen file during one check or other but i did have 5 clean scans up till midnight
sorry i should have posted the readouts but as said wiped hd clean
my personel advice and its only mine
is till admin has had the chance to really sort this out and eliminate all possiable chances of front page being affected is simply avoid it
use the forums the links are all there and it seems safe and secure
i will bite the bullet and open the front page again later today after doing a few deep scans to ensure comp clean and see if it results in same as early this morning
hope that makes sense been a long night :)

The direct link up top [live streams & feedback] has been turned off for now. If you have bookmarked this page please do not use it for now.
It is still possible to access the links page from the chat room, once again please do not attempt to access the page from there.
It seems as though a number of streaming sites have been targeted with nasties. This is where the problem arises from. they have been made aware of this problem.
Admin are on the case and trying to sort the problem. as soon as we have any news we will post here.

The front page has gone. Scudd has gone for the 'scorched earth' policy to see how things work out.
The front page now goes to the Live Streams & Feedback threads. Queues of new members?

Accie knows where to find his own links. He's had years of experience.
He was banned from all the sites on the internet for years.

I get a 'malicious attack' warning after installing the latest security update from Firefox. Somebody has a serious grudge against this site-or maybe it's true. Who knows?

Maybe.... we upset people from time to time with our 'free footy for all' policy. We don't make a penny... we don't have any ads on the site.... if someone wishes to donate, then thats great.... but there is never any pressure from us for anyone to do so.
We have cracked down on some of the more dubious browser sites recently.... perhaps that is the root of the problem.... who knows. Whatever transpires, admin will sort it.... nobody will die.... :D

I feel a Kevin Keegan moment coming on. I'd love it if this was traced back to our "ROMANIAN FRIENDS". It would prove once and for all what a nasty piece of stuff they really are. It would also get them banned from every site. With a bit of luck.

anyone removed on or around either/both
of those dates
any arguments etc close to both
cant be just a coincedence
just another possiable angle in finding out who behind it

my verdict hang him out to dry.

Inclined to agree,as it seems strange that this site as suddenly been hit with various nasties as only just started to occur since the Romanian streamers arrived after my p2p went of the air,to much of a coincidence for there NOT to be a conection...:redcard:

Lets not blame all Romanians. There are a few good Romanian streamers who are still having their streams posted.
The nasties aren't on this site. They are on one or more sites that we post links to. When we track them down, we remove them. Derby etc aren't being posted so the only way for them to be doing it is hacking sites that we do post.

The problem is Beggs how do we mere mortals know until something gets flaged wether it's okay to proceed or not.I was too hasty in blaming all romanians but how do we again know who's safe and who isn't...:(

Yes Scudders I usually do,but more often than not Browser links are the only ones available as often the sopcast links are down or take that long to settle down I have missed a good bit of the nominated match I want to watch...:(

None of us know. The same applies to every site that you visit on the internet. You will never get a virus directly from this site (unless somebody works out that the admin password is abcd1 ). I was just replying to your post.
If you've got a decent up-to-date anti-virus running you should be OK on even the sites with the nasties. I can't remember the number of dodgy sites that I've visited looking for new links.

dodgy sites
is that they 36 DD links again:lol::lol:
couldnt agree more with above posts
Begbie is right a good up to date anti virus/maliware programme will take care of anything you do stumble across , and yes the linkfinders do have to visit some of the nastiest sites imaginable at times and all have picked up more nasties on their comps over the years than most folk had hot dinners and dealt with them all ,keep that in mind when links a hour late for example or mods take a few minutes to reply
those guys do alot more than most of you realise
Scudd is spot on as well
the p2p players a lot safer than any browser , but sadly yes some streams now only browser
glad to see no one badly affected by the latest attack and site came out ok too
those that do this type of nonsense only showing how idiotic they really are
simple message to them
pathetic grow up ffs
