Click either YES, OK, ALLOW or LAUNCH APPLICATION and the SopCast player will open. If you are starting the player for the first time your firewall may prompt you to allow the connection to proceed - click YES. Now the player should be on your screen like this -

On the bottom right corner of the SopCast player's screen is the buffer number - 100 being the best - 0 being the worst. It can take a minute or two to start buffering the channel till you get to the channels full strength - Some streams can be viewed with a buffer of 40 perfectly fine others may falter at 40. The buffer number does not always have to be on 100 to watch. Below is a basic rundown of the buttons on the SopCast player and what they do -

Watching via VLC Player
Has somebody on the forum advised you to watch the stream via VLC? Before you do anything else, you should download and install the VLC Player from the FSi downloads page (http://www.footballstreaming.info/upload/).
After installation, the easiest way is to set VLC player to be Sopcast's default player. To do this, launch Sopcast and login, then click on 'Option' at the bottom of the Sopcast channel list.

Next, click 'Use my own media player' and enter the location of where you installed VLC player. Then click 'Apply followed by 'Ok''. Now close Sopcast.

From now on you should now be able to view your Sopcast stream in the VLC player. To do this launch Sopcast by clicking one of our links, Sopcast will open and connect to the stream. When the stream has buffered to > 40 tell Sopcast to open the stream in VLC by clicking on the 'Double-box' at the bottom of your Sopcast viewer.

Sopcast will launch VLC Player and you will see the stream in its window. You can now minimise Sopcast but do not close it as it is still receiving the stream.
Like everything on the internet, sometimes SopCast goes down for whatever reason. For new users - this doesn't mean that it doesn't work - we know it works! - it just means it's having a bad minute/hour/day and you may need to try an alternate player/link. If SopCast player isn't working, messages are usually posted in the feedback thread from other FSi users saying as much. Thankfully this only happens maybe twice a year.
That should have you watching football on SopCast - if you are having any problems - the feedback thread or the chatroom are the places to post for the quickest answers.
