Lovely members, as you are probably aware there are times when FSi gets a tad busy (e.g. 2.30-3pm Saturday afternoons). We would like to share some statistics with you to explain this;

Saturday, 23 Aug 2008
Unique Visitors: 15,639
Pages: 106,379
Hits: 1,804,472
Bandwidth: 6.01 GB

This is an average of the daily Saturday traffic between 2pm and 3pm BST
14.00
Page Views: 113,998
Hits: 1,600,682
Bandwidth: 5.57 GB

15.00
Page Views: 109,441
Hits: 1,685,196
Bandwidth: 5.59 GB

Statistics for views of the Links Page:
Entry page: 75,407
Exit page: 51,663 (that means 75407 people come straight to that page and 51663 of them dont look at any other part of the site!

We're working hard to make sure that the Live Streams (http://www.fsicrew.info/forums/../streams/todays-links/) page holds up on match days, and that this can be updated with working links that may turn up nearer kick off.
Kind regards,
FSi team.

It's fair to say that 'some' of the 'other' sites 'might' be 'borrowing' the links from FSi on matchday then ducking off yeah....

Does it lag the bandwidth if someone has the links page open but is idle? I expect a lot of people do that which doesn't help.

Once i have a solid stream i usually close all internet pages off to get as much juice to sopcast as possible

There are no resources being taken from the server once a page has fully loaded!

Aye, but for every lifter there will be a few hundred maybe even thousand people who have arrived here after googling "Football Stream", or such like. Therefore, we should try and remain as open as possible.

As Sharky says rightly its more important people get links when needed than some site pinching our links (although id prefer they didnt) but then atleast they would have links that would work (for a change)
