So what do you think the chances are of this server being able to take everyone logging on at once? I always open the links page early on a saturday and leave it open so if i can't log onto the feedback thread then at least i may have links.However it's frustrating as hell when you can't log on to catch the late links that get posted in Feedback. i made the mistake on Saturday of refreshing the links page i had open as that then had the same logging on issues.

Is this server far superior to the previous one?

The link is the page that the International Link took me too. Seems OK now though (?).

I found it hard to get on, but a lot more user friendly e.g. When clicking 'New Posts' I got a 'search busy' message which meant that I knew to try via other routes to get to the page (well, at least it kept me busy, trying).

I think that it's just down to the huge popularity of this site, with the FEEDBACK forum being the swinging factor.

As you know, anyone can find a link on the internet, which might or might not work. But... when they're really stuck for a match, who do they check?

ps. How's your TvAnts, and have they moved into your stereo yet? :lol:

Yeah mate - havin big probs over here since the change. Can't get site at all on last 2 game days - just get 'cannot connect to server' Feedback page took 9 minutes to load on Sat (only time it worked) - but it said there were only 60 people looking at that thread - i'm no web know-it-all but it should be able to handle that and more shouldn't it?

The old server was better for the weekend games so far:eek:

I had trouble geting on about half an hour ago. I kept getting the standard "page connot be displayed" error.

Gave it 15 minutes and tried again, seems fine now (obviously, otherwise I couldn't post this!)

there has been loads of work done to the server in attempt to get it optimised for the amount of traffic we get.. We nor the new hosts are not going to rest until its ok!

Its not had a real test since saturday and the final lot of work was only done on sunday! its been ok here since then.. your error (dr jae) may just have been a glitch!!

Page cannot be displayed is a code 500 error (script error), not a server error..??

The 60 people in a thread (deadlywill) won't knock the site down, its the other 700 or so on the server that was doing that... but saying that, 750 members being on the site shouldnt be causing problems..

We'll know more when we get busy! Its a slow process but we will get there!

I find best thing to do is to get on half an hour before, note the links down and enter them manually. Think they're working on the problems so it'll be sorted soon...hopefully!

Is the right answer, nearly.

Click 'file' top left and click 'save as' and save the links page required to your pc.

This will have to do for now till its rectified, and you're right, it is being worked on :thumbsup:
