Hello, just a couple of updates...

New feature - Links are now available via our new rss feed. Simply click on the "Subscribe to the FSi RSS feed" link at the bottom of the links page http://www.footballstreaming.info/streams/todays-links/

Update on the server issues - We are now finally working on this. Since the hard drive crash we have not had the time to concentrate on optimizing the site since moving to this new server. These issues will be resolved soon.

As always, thanks for your continued support.

I think its a good idea having an rss feed for links - think i questioned the idea a few years back.

Do we know, as links are updated, does the rss feed automatically update through an rss viewer at the users end?

Would it ever be possible to get updates just for Premier League, or English games or even just a certain clubs games?

And wouldn't it be better placed on the top right, as is the customary place for an rss logo?

Yes, it should do.

Would it ever be possible to get updates just for Premier League, or English games or even just a certain clubs games?

Naw, unless we go back to specific league pages, not going to happen.

And wouldn't it be better placed on the top right, as is the customary place for an rss logo?

Meaning ? There's some browser compatibility problems just now(internet exploder), others i think are fine.

Its just when looking for an RSS feed when visiting a site the vast vast majority look for the feed link in the "top right" mostly due to blog layouts - FSi clearly isn't a blog, and as its a new feature, to attract the non-forum users, placing a really noticeable icon at the top of the page (or even in the nav bar) would get more people using it and hopefully crushing the server load.

If the rss is applied correctly it will prevent the 3pm Saturday crowd from needing to clog up the server. Its a brand new feature to the site so make it spectacularly apparant, advertise it all over the links page. Otherwise, whats the point?

The admin sorts (some say they sleep in compost and tend to bats in their spare time) have added the rss subscription logo in the address bar.

Good work admin! Now advertise it, the site prides itself in not offering outside ads so now advertise the advantages of the being part of FSi. An rss feed and a well manned chat room are fantastic user friendly bonuses for anyone finding links.

Progressing the whole FSi service is in no way a bad thing, and it helps the main goal (pun intended) of the site to providing free and an uncomplicated place to get links.

Real top work from the admin and mods
