Not sure more mods means everything Tats has listed but we have lost some interesting/funny/popular guys in the last few years and the forums have suffered because of it. I have seen people banned cos a mod took offence when he couldn't take what he was giving so more mods ain't necessarily the answer (though I agree more are needed for various reasons). I like Sharky but does he even want to be a mod?
The forums are a sad bewildering place on match days-there seems to be a hundred threads each devoted to a different streamer and it is a pissing bore to work through them to find out if anything interesting is in them, yet when there are no games on the forums are dead apart from mad Tonys hazy ramblings (which I quite enjoy)!
Anyway dunno where I am going with this so I will finish by saying I hope the site gets reinvigorated (Deadly being back is a good start), Eggy mentioned he couldn't believe the amount of swearing on here now-could this be driving people away? I am one of the worst for it but if it being outlawed is good for the site then why not ban it.

Glenman I agree with you about the streamers threads shannanigins,Begbie cant post links deal with the streamers and keep the forum in order himself ,more Mods, more time to get the forum back on track ,some of the older members like Auld Suzie, The Rev, Megansdad ,and Gazza where is he not seen him on for while ,Sharks is good at the posting larky the site can get back to its old self , It just need a bit of a hand at the mo

Here is my 2 bobs worth,if there are people who have the time and the know how to help out in the forums and link finding then i would take the strain off begbie,fish and the rest.I dont mind the swearing in the forums but understand if some people are(i think there is a way to hide the swearing,remember begbie posting a thread about it).I agree that some ppl have been missing for a wee while but i dont think that because have different opinions that they should be banned or asked to leave if that was the case i would have been booted out years ago.We should all try to make the forums more fun and interesting but still have room for debate,last but not least i agree that the bowsers do my nut in as well.This is just my opinion.

Believe it or not there are still 7 active mods including 2 admin types and 1 aussie who have all been on and looking at the forums during the past few days so it is not as if there is a need for more mods. Granted, as few have a hands off approach to running this forum/site and hardly post so it may appear that apart from the linkfinders there is is no one else about.

We did get caught out a bit with that trojan crap last week but from now will try to keep a better eye on things.

a personal opinion... it is the users themselves that define a forum by starting topics etc and should not be the mods that start 20 topics a day.

Sharky...offered to help out with linkfinding again last month but an argument at the time between 2 linkfinders, one ended up getting de-modded, kind of put that on the backburner. If that offer is still on then of course he is welcome to help out, likewise anyone else with some time on their hands.

However if people want a general swear filter on and censoring then we would of course go with the wishes of the people that actually use the forums. ****s <- c word filtered just as a test :)

Browser sites...There is an ongoing plan to reduce the number greatly of the sites that can post/update. Any browser sites disregarding the current sticky and posting anyway will have their posts removed and banned without any discussion. Currently there are 29, Begbie's target number is 12 I think. We will also look at other ways so any updated posts by browser sites do not appear in 'new posts'.

I started a new job last week. There is a lot to learn and I'm giving it my best shot. I have internet access but can't update on FSi when things are busy at work. When things aren't busy, I can update the Schedules.

I am also looking after 2 houses and 2 sets of pets over Christmas so that takes up more of my time than I would like. I'm keeping the links as 'up-to-date' as I can. Sometimes I can't get the time to get on to do stuff.

I admit that some things have slipped but as Raff said, we are taking a good look at the browser sites and only want to keep the best. That's why it is important that our regulars give us unbiased feedback on the streamers.

A dozen good browser sites posting on FSi along with sites like FIRST ROW and VIP BOX would provide enough good working links to any match. I can also see a place for streamers who specialise in a certain league, eg Turkey.

When I know enough to go onto nights at work, I'll be able to spend more time on links.

Good work, only took about 6 months since I first raised it.

Raff, I can suggest about 20 things which will drag this forum from the dark ages. It's about 3 years out of date. e.g. I watch a lot of my streams on my phone now. I suggested adding the tapatalk function. Nothing. You should integrate it with the book of faces and twitter. Thing which pisses people off about forums is the constant refresh/refresh/new posts search/refresh/new post search to have to read new posts; in this day and age the threads should update automatically...or at least have a live update box at the top if the home page (which does away with the chat room, which, like me, I know you don't like). Also, a RSS feed would make it easier. The similies are shite and again dated. I could go on but most suggestions I have made go on deaf ears when either a mod or a user.

I've watched this forum stagnate since about the time Bookie left. Hardly anything has changed. You have a Vbulletin licence...use it ffs. There's shit loads of add ons which could and should be used. I get the impression that yous don't even look at the vbulletin site or vbulletin.org.

Why wasn't this (or something similar) installed years ago? It would have kept it busier and made it more user friendly. Found it after a quick google search. There are plenty more things which could have been added to keep up with the times.

Not having a go, I love this forum (as you know) but it's dying a death mate. I said that at least a year ago (probably about 18 months ago actually) and suggested stuff like this but nothing happened. You can't bury your heads in the sand and think the web is the same as it was 3-4 years ago. I rarely use forums anymore because most are out dated and the owners don't keep with the times. Spend a bit of time looking around vbulletin.org. There are some brilliant add ons which could be 'added on' to make this forum the bees knees again.

Well let's talk about that a bit more to be fair.

I remember doing the linkfinding a while back because the site found itself in a position where the two guys that had been doing the main linkfinding job all year both left for whatever reason - fair enough. Although i'd been on site for years i'd never done any linkfinding but when i tried to, Begs was already gone and there was you for a week and then poof you were gone and I was only able to continue to learn because of all the time Sten and Fish put in for me. I asked them so many questions 'How do you do this, why isn't this working' etc etc to the point where i thought they'd tell me to fuck off but they NEVER did. Out of the 5 or so people that put their hand up to learn linkfinding, there was really only me left after a week - the others had said 'too hard basket' and bailed. In turn a month or so later the wonderful Scot, Bazzer, put his hand up and back into it and I tried to help him where i could at the start with what i'd learned and try to do some guides to make it easier. As it turned out Accie came back from outta space and over a period of a few weeks they had the linkfinding covered and i was getting back to what i wanted to do clean up the forums. Sharks - you then spend the best part of the next two years FUCKING MOANING about this and that all the while starting another site yourself and only posting here to big note that site (which was shit by the way) and belittle this site under three or four different alias'. As i understand it - you weren't ever banned - the Sharky name was always there. Still to this day you're on here taking pops at Sten and in your last post have the fucken stones to say he thinks he's too self important get ta fuck....

guys try and remeber what this place is all about
providing free football
having somewhere to have a friendly chat/debate with some friends
and relax
not somewhere to gain one up on each other or feed some sense (justified or not )of self importance
FSI works as long as there is a team working together as a team not a group of individuals digging their heels in over a tiny difference in a idea with another mod/admin

members are the most important people here , try and remeber that
no point link finding , running and developing a site , streaming etc if no bugger using it ... get the members feeling relaxed ,happy and confident that they can say or ask things without fear of ridicule , censorship, critic , or banning and we will get the forum back to something like it used to be

Begs deserves a medal you all see his results but only those who have had a go at it can begin to realise his efforts and sacrafice to deliver those results , along with those who have helped along the way
if any of you can help then please give it a go it is rewarding but be warned it is more much more time consuming and addictive than you could ever imagine

i know the frustration and tension etc as well as anyone and a good bit of the reasons for some if not most of the conflicts between some of you
but i also remeber the friendships that you may have allowed to slip your minds lately , you may not always agree with each other but you all have the same reason for being here allow that to allow you to accept that we cant always agree on every detail and comprimise instead of turning every little thing into a drama and persoel war i know all of you really well and each an everyone of you are above that level of behaviour well above it
