Hi all,
My first post so I hope you'll bear with me! I've tried the links to games several times and never get them to work. Sopcast and TVU launch but I get things like cannot connect to media from Sopcast. When I try links to streams in browser they usually end up at justin.tv and go off after a minute or two.
I'm a Man Utd fan who moved to New Zealand 3 years ago so am desperate to be able to watch the games..especially the big ones that are coming up!
Thanks in adveance for any help!!

hi themat and welcome to the forums, the best thing to do would be to keep an eye on the feedback thread or the chatroom on matchdays that way you'll get the most up to date info on which streams are working well and which aren't. some streamers say they will do one match and end up doing another or none at all sometimes its sopcast having problems etc.etc. hope that helps in someway and that you get to watch the games you want.

Well apologies to Liverpool fans everywhere..I tried for most of the first half but the links just don't work for me....so as a result of me not being able to see the game my team won of course.
Thanks for those who helped but I'm just going to have to call it a day with the steaming.
Cheers all

mate don't give up - it's nothing we haven't come across before. Do you have Norton Anti-virus by any chance?

hi themat
ok normally its a case of going through things to find the reason you cant view the streams
have you checked you have given the players clearance with your firewall
are you using norton (if so close the firewall and use windows firewall )
check you are not downloading anything else as it may be preventing you from getting the stream
i know i have to change to using windows firewall only insted of the one provided by my isp anti virus prog when trying to use both tvu and sopcast ,as get the same as you do the player opens but no stream will connect i find that as soon as stream starts to play (using only win firewall) i can put normall firewall back on and all is fine
give it a try see what happens if still no joy let us know and we spend some time getting you fixed and viewing dont worry

Themat. Try some of the Chinese Sopcast links (eg 6001) now or well before a match is due. They're normally on 24/7. If you can't get them to work, it'll indicate that you are having problems with Sopcast.
Try opening Sopcast and login as anonymous before you click the link.
Post the results and people can take you forward from there. Don't give up. It really is easy. In a couple of months you'll be helping others out.

Thanks everyone, I don't have Norton and tried with Windows firewall turned off but it didn't help. I'll try again for the Chelsea v Utd game tonight....I can get some channels now on Sopcast.....it just seems that the links don't go.
Thanks again

the matt if you are getting some sop links to work and others not then it could be the channels off air when you are trying
try the link Gazza posted above if it loads then all is ok if not
try right clicking the link
select copy link location
paste it into the channel address bar on sopcast player
click the arrow
and the stream should load

ok firstly turn on some form of firewall
then try closing the player and opening it again matt it can be like that at times
are you able to see the channel list try selecting a channel on it if it streams then try the link again
matt if you are using vista try running sopcast as admin
