 For a few days now when I click on Quick Links I have to highlight Forums above it before the drop down list appears and when I click on the thread I want to peruse(posh way of saying looking at) the page opens then it drops down to the last input so I have to scroll back up the page.this doesn't happen with any other forums I visit only this one.any input on this strange happening would be appreciated....:drink:

I haven't come across it tjl. I'm using Firefox. I can't see why it would be browser-related but it's all that I can think of.

Apologies, i didn't think it warranted a thread of it's own.

I have not seen that problem TJL. Everything OK here.
JA, you need to spend less time sat on your arse in scum soaked car seats, try putting your arse out of the window to give it some air whilst driving.:thumbwink:

Problem sorted the Browser hint gave me the answer,as I had downloaded IE 8 beta to see what it was like and the problem started a few days after this, because it did not happen straight after down load I never give another thought to it,I have gone back to IE7 and problem solved...:drink:

Out of interest why do you still use IE? I didn't switch to firefox for any other reason than security, and the add-ons can enable absolutely no bollocks getting through. I haven't used IE for about 4 years so i have no idea what 7 or 8 is like. I used to gte plagued with pop-ups and broswer reconfigurations with IE.

Not advisable to bare yer arse like some kind of alternative target, like Paul Edmunson, 25, from Caldey Island testify's http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/7596094.stm
Some comedic value in his words though.

furry muff. Just wondered if it was more secure these days, but whatever happens MS software is the easiest to attack

Not knowing to much about it,but it seems as though MS looked at FF and learned from them and adapted there version,IE8 beta went a little further but it seems they just cloned more of FF ideas I think it is a lot more secure now than it used to be, but as you say everyone wants to have a go at MS but it's different strokes for different folks,I guess I just stay with it as it's something I'm used to....:drink:

Yeah, i had to force firefox on myself. I even had a IE skin on it to keep the familiariltity;lygygfh (i cant spell that word) but then i got a flavour for 'alternative' and always look to expand my browser. Im currently annoyed at apple for putting safari on my computer. Safari is fucking crap. I hate apple computers

Both FF and Chrome seem quicker to launch and bring up pages than IE.

Same here with Deadly's Opera recommendation. I tried to stick it out and I can see the benefits but fucking hell it annoys me. It keeps just sitting there not doing anything.
Bonus though Opera mini for my phone is miles better then any other 'mini' browser I've tried.
Tried Chrome today seemed ok and loads pages well faster than IE which i have used for years.Just getting used to it is gonna be my problem .I keep switching back n to with it .

IE8 beta was mainly released for developers to play with at this stage. From IE8 did you just hit the emulate IE7 button ? - http://i35.tinypic.com/21end6h.jpg

I'm loving chrome so far. Quick as and each tab has it's own independent process running so if one tab crashes it doesn't crash the whole browser. Easier to use - finally a simple browser with good stuff and without all the add on shit although that will come no doubt as it's open source. Had 27 tabs open last night - justin playing in 1, setanta news in another, multiple jpegs opening in 10 other tabs, radio playing in one and worked no worries. Gonna see how many i can open before it shits itself. Will report back haha
