Don't know about you guys, but I am sick already of international football. I'm Irish and hope Ireland do well and all that but if they don't qualify for a tourney I couldn't give a rats. Look at how dull the last two major tournaments have been.
You can't escape the fact that scheduling international tournaments in the summer, at the end of a 60 game season for most players, is hardly conducive to brilliant attacking football. Move the tournaments to the month of february and finish the season that year in June and problem solved.
Until they do that I couldn't give a shite about int'l football.
hope they do well tonight but having seen the team i honestly doubt it.
Jocks are like the paddy's Kubs, never short on effort even if they are, like us, a little short of quality. Hope they do well. I'm not gonna watch any of it, as I said, cannot get excited by int'l footies anymore
As ive said a milion times on here and the like's of sharky/new un have moaned that i said it [whats new] ,i dont care about internationl footy one bit,i care about one team only and thats it,hate it when your players get injured in point less england/scotland games whatever even if its the world cup,its annoying when the prem league is called off after only been back for 2 weeks and the same next month when there's a 2 week gap

yeah - it's bullshit. Fuk internationals. It's pretty stupid to get the premier league up and running and interesting then stop for 2 weeks and halt all momentum to play some bullshit games that mean fuk all to anyone...that's a forken penalty - ya bollocks....
I agree with a lot points made already but i have got to say that in scotland it unites a the supporters for once and that can only be good thing, even if we are usually crying in our pints afterwards, monthescotland
haha brother, just like it when we all support the same team for once, you know what its like up here.
I can understand that elf. The situation in Ireland may be interesting with the recent ruling that from next year, a player who hasn't been capped can choose to play for Northern Ireland OR Republic of Ireland regardless of where he was born or his religious preference.
But they couldn't do anything to get me interested. I'm with our scouse friend on this one.
I can see where you and fishtoast are comeing from ruud ,but if your country is playing you have got to get behind them and give them your support ,its your National Team after all C/MON SCOTLAND get intae them

That has been the case for ages, Ruud. The IFA were trying to stop the FAI poaching their players. That's why they took up the case.
Cmon Enger......land, love the internationals and all the dissapointment, used to it by now.
Agree with ruudboy though think the tornaments in Febuary would be great idea, half way through the European legue seasons, still fresh and hungry players, no excuses then. Well one less anyway.
FIFA didn't make a recommendation, the Court of Arbitration for Sport made the decision. The IFA took the case there because the FAI have been poaching players.
That ruling means that the status quo continues. Things will be no different next year than they were last year.
