Nobody has been charged yet. It was a pretty soft 'straight red card'. Was the ref involved? Probably not but if he had just given him a 'yellow' it would have made the last five minutes interesting if the scam was on.

..... and yes. All Scousers are crooks.

wonder did he throw in plenty of abusive language just to be sure of the red card?everyone knows it goes on,maybe the first throw in or first foul in a game but to get yourself sent off!its gonna make you wonder every time a player does something really stupid

It was near the end of the game, about five minutes to go as far as I know. The TV pictures that I seen of the match made it look like a 'soft' straight red card.

You might be right. No reports on what he said to the referee.

Concerns about the game, on 14 December 2010, were raised by the Association of British Bookmakers after a number of bets from the Liverpool area were placed on there being a sending off.

During the match Jennings, who had already been booked, was shown a straight red card for foul and abusive language aimed at referee Stevie O'Reilly late in the 2-1 home defeat.

...so what he did at the end of the match would have been enough unless it had to be a straight red for the bet to come up?

Why would Rooney's old man need to get involved with something like this? Does Rooney not get on with his dad or what? If I had his kind of money, the first thing I'd do is make sure my folks were alright.

Wayne Junior looks after his family alright. His father has a big house in a nice area, thanks to his son, with other members of is family receiving regular handouts / nice cars etc..

His auntie got a house down the road from my sister years ago off him,but he told her last year to get out so he can get rid of it [she is still there to this day] plus my sister seen the rooney baby Kai via mobile off his auntie minutes after he was born, months before he was in papers
