Program wants internet access
"Mcafee has detected a prog on your pc thats trying to accept incoming connections from internet. Allow?"

Is it always OK to allow these as long as you know the program (for example sopcast)?

Hmmm. Dodgy call. If Sopcast is showing an advert and the stream hasn't loaded, I wouldn't allow it. Sounds like you clicked the Sopcast screen before the stream was loaded. My advice is to never click on an ad.

The very first time that you run Sopcast you will be asked to 'allow access' before the program has opened, I'd allow it but normally you would never get that message again.

Thanks for the replies. Bah, I'm an idiot. I can't even remember what it was now. I clicked allow once but once is enough to do damage I guess. I checked allowed progs and sopcast and something called sopcast adver is there, do you have that? Anyway so basically after you've allowed the prog the first time any requests after that you should block.

Block Sopcast Adver and ignore any plugin requests on the Sopcast screen. Sopcast.exe is OK.

I don't have McAfee so I don't know what messages it throws up.
