Ooops..
Nearly forgot the easyway (not all channels are listed)
P2P remote
http://p2ptv.orgfree.com/soft/ABN-P2Ptv.zip
Click on the Ppstream icon, select Sports, and an English Channel list will appear, select 1 and in a few moments it should start playing.

Some of you may already know this but you can also save your channels in a 'favourite' list. Open a stream and then on the picture screen right hand click and select the 4th option. The channel will then get added to your favourites folder. The Favourites folder is the first sub-menu on the PPstream list on the left hand side.

Thanks Robo. I totally forgot about P2P remote (though some people may still have problems as that also requires clicking a link to open a channel.)

This may fix the file associations for ppstream links.. go to a ppstream channel on the the fsi player or go here: http://www.ppstream.com/tv_online.php
You should be prompted to install the powerplay activex control, do so?
Once all thats done click on one of the ppstream links and let us know if it opens in ppstream correctly!!

It's likely to be PPMate nicking the ppstream:// protocol and adding it's own registry entries to the OS for it.
Everytime I try and open a PPstream link, old or new, it opens in PPMate. Or did before I wiped everything.

Must be a new version then.
I'll give it a go and if it doesn't work, back to the ancient version again. Not too bothered as I've got by with just Pcast this weekend.

Had a quick read through the comments above. Funny that I also found clicking on PPStream kept opening PPMate yestreday! Eventually opened PP Stream individually and looked for a channel with a large load and presto on came the match! Ran very very well. Impressed, as I had given it up some time ago in favour of PP Mate, Sopcast and TV Ants.

Ppstream English
I have created a set up file of PPStream, this will install onto your PC and you will have PPStream in English,
sadly the channels will still be in Chinese but
everything else will as stated above be English.
http://rapidshare.com/files/26481453...glish.exe.html
Click on FREE, and you will have a choice of download locations.
You must have all versions of PPStream uninstalled and the installation folder must have been removed.
C/Program Files/PPStream
Tried and tested and working, once installed you will see the PPStream icon and SP2 patch on your desktop,
click on the patch first then the player and there you go, remove the SP2 patch from your desktop.

No not the translation file, this is the application auto installed and ready on your desktop, ready to launch, and when it does the player is in English, its for anyone who has issues with copying and pasting files, or looking around installation folders.
Have you downloaded it and tried it?.
Give it a go, uninstall PPStream from your PC, remove the installation file, then install the prog ive made and let us know what you think.

No, I havn`t specifically created this for you, as I stated above, its for anyone who wants PPStream, but also wants the player control's and info in English, but isn't sure about how to change things around.
This is a set up file that once downloaded, will install PPStream in there computer and it will all be in English, so they have nothing to fiddle about with.
I simply asked you to uninstall your allready translated player and download and install this one so you know what im on about. Then if your happy with it you can remove the exe and the translation file from the intro and replace it with this ready made one.
