PPStream

PPStream has been around a while now and in that time has been one of the most popular programs because of the channels on offer and it's reliability.

version 1.0.4.598

version 1.0.0.102

ppstream.com
ppstream.com in English

Download PPStream

Download the latest version (1.0.4.601) from FSi
How To:
1. Download then unzip ppstream1.0.4.601.zip to a good location on your pc
2. Install it.
3. Download then unzip ppstream_enlish.zip to a good location on your pc
4. Drag all the files from the ppstream_english folder into your ppstream program folder (usually: c:\program files\ppstream)
5. Open it. The program and all menus will now be in English. The channel list remains in Chinese.

The PPStream I just downloaded is in Chinese: if I run the link you provided above, will I get it in English?

Thanks for any help...

PPStream

Click on the icon above

It will translate the tabs in the player and the channel info, but not the channel list. Open the folder and copy and paste the files into the PPstream installation folder when asked to overwrite select yes to all.

Should look like this

Cheers Robo: I'm having some trouble with what to do after I load the latest version from the Icon above: its says I have to backup three files but how do I get to the PPStream intallation field when I already have a version of it installed?

Thanks for your help, man, much appreciated.

Just incase anyone is interested I've uploaded the patches required to translate the PPstream player.

http://www.turboup.com/download.php?...456cc52ae07448

This is a compressed file, I find the best prog for opening any file is Izarc, its free, requires no registration.

Details..

IZArc is the ultimate archive utility supports many archive formats like: 7-ZIP, A, ACE, ARC, ARJ, B64, BH, BIN, BZ2, BZA, C2D, CAB, CDI, CPIO, DEB, ENC, GCA, GZ, GZA, HA, IMG, ISO, JAR, LHA, LIB, LZH, MDF, MBF, MIM, NRG, PAK, PDI, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR, TAZ, TBZ, TGZ, TZ, UUE, WAR, XXE, YZ1, Z, ZIP, ZOO. With a modern easy-to-use interface, IZArc provides support for most compressed and encoded files, as well as access to many powerful features and tools. It allows you to drag and drop files from and to Windows Explorer, create and extract archives directly in Windows Explorer, create multiple archives spanning disks, creating self-extracting archives, repair damaged zip archives, converting from one archive type to another, view and write comments and many more. IZArc has also build-in multilanguage support.

Download here

http://www.filehippo.com/download/2a...1bdc/download/

Here's what to do, once you have downloaded the folder, use the above app to extract the data from the zip.

Once opened it will look like this

Highlight all 4 patches by placing your cursor just to the right and in between Power play and Psnetwork. Left click and drag the mouse slowly left this will highlight all 4 patches.

you can release the mouse now and open my computer, c drive, prog files, scroll down until you find the 1 named PPStream. Shrink the page so that you can see the open file on your desktop containing the patches and also the PPstream prog file. Select a highlighted area in the patches folder, right click the mouse and drag them towards the PPstream folder, once you hold the mouse over the folder again right click and select paste, when prompted to overwrite the existing files simply select YES TO ALL.

Job done..

Close all open applications, return to your desktop, click on the PPstream icon and you will find it in English.

Ps.

This works with the latest release found in the first box in this topic.

Hope I`ve been of some help.

Enjoy

Suzie, so you can open the channels manually but not by clicking on THIS WEEKS LINKS? If so I'll give you list of how the channel names appear in chinese on PPstream so that you can select the correct channel and open manually. Let me know and I'll (or another mod/admin) post the channel names here later tonight.

As for the initial problem, its your browser not associating the link with the ppstream software!!

I might be able to find a fix!!

Soz suzie, I tried to reproduce the problem but I can't!! All ppstream links from TWL open ok?? I tried it in firefox, mozilla and ie

It might be worth uninstalling it then starting again!!

Heres a patch that converts the main program and all menus into English, the channel list is still chinese but its a damn good start! Just drag all the files into the PPStream program folder (usually c:\program files\ppstream) and overwrite the originals!!

I'll see what I can do about the channel list, there may be a way to get the software to use a translated version!!
