Pompey
I don't know if this has been mentioned before.
Will Portsmouth start next season in the Championship on -9 points if they would have been relegated without losing the 9 points this season? That's what happened to other teams going into administration in the lower leagues.

I think Portsmouth are going to continue falling, or even go completely bankrupt and end up out of the football league.
Unless their players take at least a 50% cut in wages, they will need to sell most of them off to help cut the £120m debt and buy in more appropriate players.
If they do get a -9 starting tally then i think they're all but League One.

Sod them. They are too far away to care. May as well be in France. What about Stockport? If they are still in administration come the start of next season, they won't be allowed to start the season and will therefore be thrown out of the league.
Cheers,
Jeff from Stockport (not a Stockport fan, just feel sorry for them).

Seems counter productive to punish teams further for their financial failings, but then the catch22 is that it is meant to put financial stability in the mind of the club and those running it and prevent it.

Which is why the FA and Premier League need to govern clubs more effectively. It's going to take Man Utd going bust before anything is done, we can only hope and pray.
