I met him on holiday in Turkey this summer, he was staying in the same hotel with his family after the World Cup... what a great bloke! He was wonderful with my 10 year old daughter, who is football mad like me. Gave her a great personal signed message and posed for photo's with her (in her Spanish 'Iniesta' shirt). It was the first 'famous person' she'd met, and I can't think of anyone I'd rather her have met first... it made her holiday... (and my missus' ).

So there it is..... Howard Webb for me.... the last Englishman in a World Cup Final.... possibly for evermore...

Its nice to hear that he treated your daughter well Burdock but wasn't he the ref the NOTW did an undercover thing on with pictures of him acting the big time Charlie? Might have been another ref?
