what is it your using Asdfg and what is being flagged
is it naming a specific virus or just issuing a warning
sometimes ads or the trackers in some streams can give off false positives with certain anti virus/spyware programs
when you say all your sites do you mean any site you visit ?
edit have you ran a virus scan on your computer to confirm any infection , if so what did it bring up , sometimes knowing what virus is being detected can help both avoid/remove it and alert the streamer what to check for

I'd be wondering why nobody else has got the computer-pox asdfg. You obviously have anti-virus running but why did it recognise a virus, then let it through?

I've got a message from some software called Personal Security that keeps blocking access to my usual sites with a warning page. I've never loaded anything from this company so it must of done it secretly from that UKTV site. NB. The message comes from 1blacklist.com and says this website has been reported as unsafe.

ok had a look about seems the "Personal security" is a nasty bit of maliware
there are a few removal tools listed on both google and yahoo
but this guide seems to avoid the use of any download which is preferable
let us know if this sorts the problem please Asdifg
edit
it also seems to be activated on the 1st start of windows after it has installed itself so working out where it was picked up could be hard

Just a wee extra. A friend got a similar virus a few weeks ago. To avoid the virus starting (if it is still there) when you re-boot your computer, click 'Start' (bottom left), 'Run....', type msconfig and hit <ENTER>, click the 'Start-up' tab and un-check anything that looks dodgy. It should be near the bottom of the list.

Virus
was just about to sugest the same Begbie
as a note/reminder to everyone
1 - run antivirus/spyware scans at least daily ... before closing windows always a good time as is on start up
2- do regular checks of startup to ensure nothing that shouldnt be there is starting when you boot up
3- keep a eye on running programmes
again get rid of anything that shoudnt be there
we all become complaicent at times but a few minutes each day can save a lot of work later on
keep safe lads
and remember we check all the streams posted as well as visiting schedule and other sites to find what links are available so we are exposed to everything all of you are and a lot more , we would notice anything wrong before anyone and would not post a link we were worried about
as far as i know (fingers crossed) all staff are ok on the infection front .... no stories of visits to dodgy clinics please

Can't use the link because I get the message in the way. The only way I can write this is by going back and forth through the tabs.
Any other ideas? I suggest you have a word with UKTV too!

To be honest. Stopping it running at start-up stopped the dodgy virus warnings. I was able to get rid of the thing in peace.
That version of the virus seemed to kick in every time a .exe file was accessed.
The girl who's PC had the virus probably got it from 'cool' links that her mates gave her on social networking sites.
Might copy these posts to a different thread to warn people. Until we're sure, we won't post any UKTV links.

Give this a go. Uncheck the bottom 3 or 4 'Startup' items and reboot. You can turn them back on again if it has no effect.

ok try any of these
Paste the following string to Windows Explorer address bar and execute it (Press Enter key):
C:\Program Files\Common Files\PSecurityUninstall\Uninstall
or
1. Open My computer, choose Disk C;
2. Find Program Files=>Common Files=>PSecurityUninstall=>Uninstall
3. Run the file Uninstall.lnk .................. thanks to F2004w
or
start computer in safe mode
do a restore to before problem started
only draw back is would require safe start all the time as virus activates on normal start
or
as Begbie says above

After you've typed msconfig into Run..... there will be a tab that says 'Startup'. Pick that.
I can post screenshots if you want but it'll take me a few minutes.

I would be grateful if you could as I am using Spanish windows and it's difficult to know what some things mean.

OK. It'll take a few minutes. I just hope that it's the same virus as my friend's daughter got. It'll sort it out.
