Hmmm. Sopcast went down for a while last week but I was watching the Chelsea match on it on Sunday. I have a UK IP like you. What's your ISP, out of interest?

on virgin as well cant say ive noticed any problem the little ive been on recently
it may just have been a problem with sopcasts server i know its been playing up lately
another thought is given the internet signal still comes through the fibre cables same as tv pictures these can be affected during periods of heavy rainfall if like rest of the country you will have had your fair share of that lately
and finally remeber virgin/blueyonder are operating their (un)fair use policy that sees your bandwidth slashed for exceeding d/L U/l flimits during certain time periods a low D/L may cause disruption to a stream

I had problems getting Sopcast channels to load on Saturday but it seemed like the Sopcast server was rammed. TvAnts went down completely for a while on Saturday but I got the last 70 minutes of the Spurs match on it. Wish I hadn't bothered.
Virgin have been 'leading' the way in the UK in trying to stop P2P and file-sharing.

I'm on virgin as well but just recently my firewall(Sygate)as been detecting some one scanning my compy, and users of this firewall are aware that you can backtrace the culprit and guess who they came up for an address...yes Virgin,I have never had this in all of 5 years with them but I will be changing my ISP when the contract expires early next year....

Get Tommo onto the case. He's a tenacious muvvafucker and won't let go until he's proven right.
My broadband contract is up for renewal. I'm with BT and they're the only ones, that I know of, that let you make payments over the post office counter as and when you want. I don't have a bank a/c but I'm trying to 'scare' BT into giving me something for nothing.
