Nowt on monitor

Been offline at home for a while due to BT being incompetant t**ts and ive been having to use the library pc,s .Anyway turned my pc on yesterday and fook all , its boots up ok but nowt showing on the monitor

checked all conections ,all ok . Baffled .Due to get back online at home on 7th April with vermin media so wouldnt mind a working pc for the big switch on lol .Any ideas ? Tried different monitor jack all .

...you got me - other than the monitor is fuct. Fucken smash it with the hammer mate - knock some sense into the fucker....

Did you check the contrast and brightness knobs in case someone turned them down?

Might not be any good to you but you could connect it to the tv.Hope you get it fixed tats.

I once spent ages trying to resolve the same problem, and i'd plugged the monitor into the motherboard socket and not the graphics card.

Good job i know absolutely nothing about cps-dont know what the motherboard & other computer related stuff is,as long as my cp comes on thats good enough for me,I leave my dad to sort the problems out,then take the fit [moaning] out on him if it cant be fixed,
Tats has been in Library for the last week or so using the cp there,probably there in the morning.

The motherboard is the large chipset that everything runs off - bit like the spine of the pc. The processor, disk driver, hard drive, graphics card and power unit all connect to it and it tells them how to work.

Ok, its more like the brain.

Managed to get one pc together built out of 3 bits of pc,s i got off freecycle . tho its shite to say the least, ill be back online at home 8th April . 156MB ram aint gonna do me much good i dont think but at least it may get a webpage up every 2 hours or so. Got me eye on a decent pc but the fecking security guards allways watching

Grab yourself a gig from Crucial tatman, depending on what type you need you'd be looking at about 30 quid to give your system a massive kick up the arse.

Has anyone heard from tats ,or heard any loud hammering noises in runcorn
