Newcastle have sacked Chris Hughton.
Had a feeling that was coming.

It's been rumoured for a while, but I'm not sure its the best thing to do. Changing managers like you change your socks never works. It's not as if they're in a bad position in the league.

A foolish decision in my opinion. I think Newcastle will struggle now.

Newcastle have just let a gem of a manager go here. Worked wonders with them in the championship and then brought them to the next level in the premiership. They should have stuck with him.

No he left because someone set him up by editting the front page and blaming him and he couldn't be arsed with the flack. Wonder who it was? Shame.

Shearer is behind this...he was pissed he didn't get appointed after leading them to relegation. He's been working as a fifth columnist ever since. Hughton has done OK but they've lost easy home games. Luckily for them there away form has saved them but that has gone down the pan lately. They now need to win home games against the top teams just to survive.Looking at their up coming fixtures they could be in trouble soon.

Looks like it might be Pardew. Gone from 7/2 to odds on with the bookies.

Wow They are swapping Hughton for Pardew, now thats a game changer!!

What a great move by the Newcastle board, I feel the fans are to blame as well, they always think that they should be a top 6 team, which isn't realistic.

Whoever the new manger is will now struggle to win over the dressing room as the players seemed to really like Hughton.

I'm really surprised by this really. I don't know what they was expecting from Hughton. He got them into the Prem, and then put in some respectable results and in a handy midtable position. Apparently Hughton locked the players in the dressing room for an hour after the West Brom game so I don't know if a player has bitched and moaned about him or not.

Totally agree with that always have their heads in the clouds. Remember this with a newcastle fan on here before, last time in the premiership.
Every fan wants their team to do well but sometimes survival or mid table is a victory in itself especially in the premiership.Reckon they will struggle now.

I thought Newcastle wanted someone with Premiership experience. I don't think Pardew has much more than Hughton. Sacked from Southampton in August, really good CV that is.

He was probably called after they had tried O Neil, Jol, Mclaren, Sven and Big Ron!!

thought he had something when he was at West Ham, but apparently not. Newcastle will never learn anyway, he´ll be off in 8 months time. Hughton looked like he had the stuff to get over the crisis, which would have made him an even better manager. Our game is being fucked by owners who couldn´t point out the penalty spot if you asked them.

Never been a fan of Hughton but thought he was learning/maturing at Newcastle and putting in his best performance as a boss so far. If they fired him to bring in a TOP boss fine but Alan Pardew, what a joke.
