Hi new to this forum, have looked at a few threads, I am a little apprehensive have streamed once before to watch cricket but I accidently loaded a toolbar and my computer was corrupted cost me a pretty penny to sort out. Are there any pitfalls??? I would be most appreciated.

Start with browser links. Don't allow anything to install except Veetle and Sopcast to begin with. Both are safe.

You can get it from download.com too here http://download.cnet.com/SopCast/300...-10601520.html
I got it from there when I recently reset my computer. I think you just have to be careful because they bundle google chrome in some of their downloads but just untick the option during the setup process if you don't want it.
Like I say I got it from there and have had no problems.

RAGGSTER - Browser
is working well for me. Are you on a standard PC/Laptop or on a Mac?
Edit: Close Firefox. Make sure that you tick the Firefox plugin when installing Sopcast.
