'Mon the strike
I'm praying that the public sector strike has a big effect. This government hasn't got the support of the people. It's time that they realised that and stopped trying to push through their agenda without debate.
I worked in the NI Civil Service many years ago. At the time we got less pay than our 'equivalents' in the private sector. The reasons given were 'Pension' and 'job security'. In recent times, Civil Service pay has caught up with the private sector but the change would in no way 'off-set' the disadvantage suffered by those who were in the Civil Service when I was in it.
Get on the streets and protest. The crisis is the banks' fault. The Labour party and the Tories both bought into the bank bubble. Labour were playing roulette with our future and the Tories forgot to mention it until they got into government.
'Mon the dug.
