No doubt about it tommo1971 you've had a flying start to your season so far and are looking sharp, your saying 4-1 against Chelsea just maybe a little bit wishful thinking, remember "don't count your chicks" , Best of luck for tonight against Benfica.

In the light of Tats' posts about Carrick, I've been watching him when Benfica have the ball. He breaks into a gentle jog. When he has the ball, it is either a backward pass or a 'hoof' down the middle looking for a big forward. Luckily for United they have Rooney down the middle, not Peter Crouch. Unfortunately this means that it is a wasted ball. To my mind, Carrick is 'living' on his reputation and not putting the effort in.

Ferguson may have told him to stay in midfield and be an 'out ball' but he doesn't have any ideas when he gets it.

Cue a wonderful second half from Carrick.

They know they will stroll the group-I would be perfectly happy if I was a Manc (thankfully not though).

I have chicks dripping off me so i can't count them all but i really think we will steamroller Chelsea, if we don't i might have to consider another self imposed 6 month exile from this site.

As for the Benfica game a draw is alright considering they are a half decent team at home and we didn't really play well so i am happy-ish with a point.

Man Utd 3 - 1 Chelsea Both sides could have had more goals, Rooney does a Terry by falling on his arse taking a pen and misses, Torres gets clear and misses an open goal, But what a game both sides played great stuff.

True that was a very bad tackle indeed, it should have been a red, but I think the ref got it right, it would have been a shame to mar such a fine spirited good game by producing a red card nearing it end.

I hope the lads leg is ok and he's not out of the games for to long.

Well that was a pile o dogshite , fair play to stoke they played well and deserved the point (if not 3 ) berbatov and owen looked like players who dont start to many games and tbh were pretty shite .Square pegs in round holes ive read somewhere which pretty much summed them up. Cant be brilliant every game and cant see many teams beating stoke at home this season . Rooney out of the next 2 games but hernandez should be ok and welbecks back so happy with that .Could do with cleverley back as well as yesterday our midfield were non creative. Put it down to a bad day at the office ,still top and the mighty Norwich next i think lol

I always thought this might be man utd's Hardest game and so it was,stoke maybe could have won it by the end but Giggs should have won it with that chance in the 92th minute for me
