Much as I despise them, it's a little ridiculous to write anyone off after two games. They have probelms though, mascherano might be a little wanker but he's also a very good midfielder. who replaces him? But more importantly, circa 1990 i remeber getting shitloads of stick from scousers as we hadn't won title for 23 years. it was eventually 26 years before we won it. How many years since they've won it?

Fergie very passionate yesterda in defending Bebe. Read it as if we need to be reminded why he's the greatest manager of all time.

Tbh, Fergie's always going to be incredibly defensive about this signing - he is with all his signings - but one so risky he will be extra impassioned. In his eyes, he (Fergie) can do no wrong and will also defend everything he does, even in the face of adversity.

His ego just won't allow others to question his decisions. History will tell if it were a good signing or not, but as has been pointed out before, most likely he'll be loaned out to a few clubs until there's hardly any media attention - if he is indeed a flop - before being released or sold on without any fanfare.

You're missing the point Goodison. Fergies admitted that he's taken big risk with Bebe. He's admitted signing him without ever seeing a video of him, Carlos Queiroz recommended they take the chance on him as Madrid et al were sniffing around. It is a spiteful thing (if fergie telling truth) for too ostracised journos to make up nonsense like that.

The Bebe story has really got to me. I'ts like a walt disney script. I would imagine he's pretty screwed up at the moment and doesn't know whether he's coming or going. Anyone that's had his bacground, I wish them all the best.

Good job yesyerday,nani and berba two nice goals. Good to see michael owen get some time as well. I have a feeling this will be a big season for him. honestly though West Ham are poor, and if they do lose Carlton cole to Liverpool i'm thinking they are a certainty to go down.

Nani beginning to blossom, great 2nd half of last season, I thought Fergies comments about him were very interesting. He described him as a very shy character, insecure and not always sure of his ability. I think he's quality, after he went public last november and critiscised the boss, he knuckled down and took his chance when he got it.
