Although I was never into the punk scene you can't deny the impact it had on, firstly british music then world music. Malcolm McClaren was at the forefront of that music revolution and for that i salute him.

I loved (and still do) punk but McLaren used it as a tool to earn money. He was a master of anti-PR, getting hype for his bands, but that's about it.

This was one of his, he jumped on the rap band-waggon. It's sh1t.

..he brought hip hop and rap to the mainstream as well as punk. He personally couldn't sing for shit and self promotion and making money was his thing, he was good at it and never denied that was all he was out to do.

I was shocked when I heard as didn't know he was ill.

He was a character for sure and the influence of the whole punk scene is still with us today.
