To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of clubs follow suit. I know Arsenal and Man U have also been toying with the idea of this, fair enough they haven't come out a laid it out so bluntly as Liverpool but certainly the top clubs will be waiting to see what happens.

Back in Shankly's day that might have been true. Unfortunately, when clubs are quite happy to out price a family going to a football game for the sake of profit, they certainly aren't bothered about the socialism of football for an even bigger profit.

The bigger clubs know that they would make a fortune selling their own TV rights. As a Liverpool supporter, I love to watch my club every week, but this is uncomfortable.
