Think its fair to say that even as bad as liverpool have been,i didnt expect them to lose today,blackpool well on top in 1st half,and liverpool alot better in 2nd,when it went to 2-1 i was expecting it too go 2-2 then probably liverpool to sneak winner,but later in the half blackpool still should have made it 3-1,then to top it off liverpool came close with the last chance of the game about 30mins after joe cole should have made it 2-2,very big derby comming up now

To be honest mate, I think the 3 points are yours as I cannot see where our next points are coming from. Roy has constantly talked down the club since he arrived and it has to have had some effect on the players. Post match today he said Blackpool are 'a very dangerous side' and seemed to ready to give credit to the opposition (again).

We play without closing down, without passion, pace or width. It's a joke and makes you appreciate how much Rafa held things together.

It's not acceptable. Worst start for 50 years and he's making Souness look like a winner. The booing at the end was deafening, not heard booing like that since the Evans/Houllier joint manager venture.

a manager does not make good players look bad.. players not working for a good manager make a team look bad..

I went today.... we were crap. Johnson can't defend to save his life. Kuyt can't seem to do anything right. He can't pass, control the ball, shoot straight or tackle (although if there were medals for 'running about a bit'... he's your man). Poulson looks out of his depth and Merieles looks lightweight. Carragher is not a wing back... so why play him there?... I could go on....

Gerrard was the only one who had a semblence of passion about him... and with Torres injured yet again, I don't know where we go from here. Like LJ has said.... no passion, no closing down, no width, no idea.

We may as well give Everton the points now.

A big team gone average . bit like United in the 70,s and 80,s when liverpool were a force . Ive no doubt they will come back .Just hope it aint anytime soon

I wouldn't wish ill of any team to the extent of shite we are in right now. I think the players are confused as to what is going on and what is expected of them. Roy wants us to sit back and counter attack which I cannot see working (we tried that with Houllier!!). The players don't look like they know what system they are playing at present having been used to closing teams down high up the pitch under Rafa.

There's obviously more to it than that and the players must take their share of the blame, but I think, largely the negative tactics are the main cause of the current plight. We should not be overrun in midfield and be sitting back at HOME against the likes of Sunderland, Blackpool and West Brom.

Totally agree lumberjack.
I can't fully blame the manager but I have to wonder how much influence his tactics are having on player ability. Albeit he looked a bit knackered, but when Raul was placed back in the middle late on the game you could see that's where he's meant to play. What the hell is he doing on the right?
Regardless of tactics Poulsen is shit... Lucas is miles better at the holding role. and should be in the team in my opinion. I could go on, but what's the point, it's painfully obvious each week at the moment.
There is just so much wrong with this team/club right now... I'm at a loss for words to be honest.
