Laptop TV
Has anyone ever used one of these?

I'm thinking of getting one so I can take my netbook to work when the Euro Finals are on this summer and watch the footy in me van.
Are they any good?

I've got a similar one to that, hardly use it though. When I have used it, it hasn't been terribly good.... although your location and the positioning of the aerial can make a difference I believe. If your desktop pc is near an aeriel socket in the home, you can connect it to that, it works fine then.

I was thinking of getting one because if I'm out in the van I wont have internet access so streams would be no good.

The aerial that the have on that picture doesn't look like it would pick up much of a digital signal, and even those indoor aerials can be hit or miss. If you have money spare then it could be worth a gamble.

There aren't any open networks on Teesport where I spend most of my days
Might get one anyway and see what they're like. I'll post my findings once I've give it a go.

...they do work but you'll need to buy a pair of rabbit ears (portable tv aerial) and you just have to move the ears around to get the picture working.
