What's a Parmo? Is it some sort of north-eastern delicacy?

Ha ha you had to wiki it Adam! It certainly is Begbie, fookin lush they are too! I believe a bloke from Stockton (or who had a pizza shop in Stockton) invented them. You can only buy them in Boro and the local surrounding areas. A bit like that curry that once upon a time you could only get in Birmingham.
ASDA have started stocking pre packaged versions actually but not sure if they're available nationwide, it says Jeff the Chef on the box, never had one of those ones though.

Parmo is a typical after pub food, best consumed around midnight after a skinful.
Interesting though reading the wiki article about it, I hadn't realised the guy who "invented" it was American. My wife is American and makes me something very similar which she reckons is a well known American dish.

That's exactly what they are Joe lol! Where's this Golden Fry Stuben? I got me Parmo from Raphaels in Redcar but someone told me to go to Moe's Palace as apparently they're superb so he'll be getting a call from me next

I asked our lass if we could have another one tonight but she said no
I had to make do with a couple of Ross Chinese Ribsteaks and chips instead.

Not sure how well you know the Boro mfc. But its in ormsby opposite the North Ormsby institute club. There full Parmo's are ridiculous mate honest ! Nothing else goes in the 12" pizza box but the Parmo. And it touches all the sides .
Edit found this on my mates facebook. It's from Golden Fry !

Very nice MFC especially after a night out Easily feed 2 people . So don't ever get it in to your head that you could do 1 to yourself. Or you'll be having Parmo for your dinner and maybe tea the day after

Deep fry it in batter and I'd consider it. Looks far too healthy naked.

Wouldn't be a problem to do it in 2 goes. There's nowt better for dinner than the leftovers from last night's takeaway lol!

Showed the images to my mate. She reckons that a Parmo would be ideal on a Sunday if you had a hangover.
I couldn't face it. The only good thing for a hangover is more beer.
