I find this hilarious. If Wenger came out and said this he would be told to fuck off and stop whining. Yet when its english players or english staff (Ray Wilkins has also come out against these tackles) that speak up then all of a sudden they have a valid and respected opinions. Fucking hypocrites.

Totally agree. Wenger has been ridiculed for saying the exact same for many years now - even though everyone can see it is fact. It doesn't seem to happen to United on anywhere near the same scale, or Chelsea and I can only think that it is because they know Wenger's comments will fall of deaf ears - but if Fergie, or Ancelotti spoke up about it someone would listen.

What i think Murphy has done here though is give out the view of someone on the pitch, he is really the first player to actually say something and even named names (also, FIFA complained about it, so now it's ok to do so...)

Ha ha, I've only just seen this. A lot of people are defending De Jong and sayng it wasn't a bad tackle.I hope someone gets hard copies of both reports and shoves 'em somewhere...

Danny Murphy is getting slaughtered, all these fookers are twisting his words-he never said Fat Sam et al TELL their players to injure someone but that is what they are saying to put pressure on Murphy. I don't fancy his chances when they play Stoke.

He's even said that in the match programme v spurs today and that his comments have been taking out of context and that he has respect for the bosses of those teams etc but he only has himself to blame for what he said.
