Going to need a freeview tv card in your laptop (i think) so you can transfer the signal from the freeview receiver/analog aerial to your laptop.

I dont think its possible to just record tv on a computer - and even if you could it wouldn't have sound.

..course you can! Do it everyday. All you need is a USB tuner, and an aerial and your off. I use media centre in Windows 7 to schedule recordings. Get all the channels and radio works a treat...e-bay a tuner for about 10 bux. I'm using a digitalnow twin tuner USB stick cost me $100.

Aye, I got one of those sticks young Mike (Mike81 has one more year of being young, he's officially old next year) recommends. You do need a pretty decent spec PC though or it can get jumpy.

Well yes, you can record tv on a computer if you buy all the equipment to do it. You cant just plug freeview into laptop and hit the record button.
