Fat Sam came out with this quite brilliantly amusing quote earlier this week:

On his prospects of being the next England manager: "If I'm successful at West Ham, why not? If that's the case I think it would prove hard for the Football Association to ignore me. But I wouldn't ever want to be seen as disrespectful in the eyes of the West Ham supporters. I would hope they would give me a break if England come calling."

Besides Nicklas Bendtner, is there a more self-delusional man in football?

What if England and Real Madrid come calling at the same time-where would he go and if he chose Madrid would the Hammers fans forgive him?

and then if Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Spain and Barcelona hear that he's available... I don't envy the difficult choices he's gonna have to make when West Ham piss the championship this season.
