Ferguson has also declared a serious interest in signing former Liverpool player Michael Owen on what is believed to be a £120m deal for 6 months.

Laughing my ass off!!

Dalglish returning is as hollow and meaningless as the police world tour two years ago. Nostalgia is not always a good thing. I'm sure many Liverpool fans are thrilled with the development, and even harbouring thoughts of Kenny Dalglish being in charge next year. But Dalglish is finished, and Liverpool as a club are finished if they pursue this current course, one which it has to be acknowledged, Liverpool would never have pursued in the past.

The managerial merry go round welcomes Liverpool, and When wenger and fergie leave management, it will be complete.

Our game is being fucked, by overseas venture capitalists, who couldn't give a toss about the culture, the community and the necessity of our clubs

Roy didn't help himself with the way he set the team up which is a shame, as he promised attacking football which we never saw. I wish him well in whatever he does next (west ham maybe?).

I'm not sure what else the club could have done mid season and I'm sure Kenny is far from finished. It will certainly galvanise the fans and give the team a lift for tomorrow. The most important thing though is to start creating and scoring more goals, winning games and moving up the table.

I didn't put it very well lumberjack.

By finished, I meant finished as a manager. Kenny is a legend, a great player who managed to do something very special, become his team mates boss, and maintain the success. But so many things have changed in the MANY years he's been away. Even in the short time I do not believe he should be appointed. Now even if (and it may well happen) liverpool win tomorrow, it won't change anything. Kenny has been away for far too long, it's unprecedented.

But, it will be interesting, way beyond tomorrow, which is a sideshow now lol.

I have a lot of time for Kenny, whatever happens in the next 6 months

It's not in most Liverpool supporters' DNA to 'have a go' at the manager. Benitez was no Shankly but they still supported him until the end.

What has the Hodgson situation shown? Wrong man for the job? Never had the fans' support? Supporters desparate after too many bad seasons? Lack of patience in the boardroom and on the terraces?

At the time it seemed a strange appointment - obviously Liverpool needed a manager but had they waited a little while more they could of had O'Neil, who i think is better suited to Liverpool.

Roy is a good manager, no doubt about it, but I think Liverpool was a job too far for him, and probably most managers. They've been in total free-fall since Rafa brought that list of complaints to the press conference.

Of course they were going to sack the manager, but surely the players have to shoulder at least half of the blame.

rev we could have oneill now.
its not as if he is contracted to anybody??
dalglishs appointment is purely down to support pressure.
i hope its only until the end of the season.
i think it will give a lift to the whole club in the short term, but we must think futher than that.
rijkaard in the summer is a must
