I don't think they have had much choice really. I think they have done well to donate the shirt space for a charity for so long, especially in today's financial climate. It was going to be inevitable that they would have to do a shirt deal with the debt that the club have, I think saying that they have sold out is a bit harsh.
They are keeping unicef on the shirt, and like imperial said it was inevitable that the club needed more revenue after losing around 60 million a year.
Apparently the new sponser is non-profit (dont know where they are getting the 25 mill a year from then) organisation for education, so some could argue that the ethical morals of barcelona are still intact.
always respected the way they held out to sponsorship, then paying unicef held a lot of dignity making them stand out from the rest,ok this deal is a non profit organisation but i wonder is this just barcas way of edging themselves into the picture without losing face, who knows when the deal runs out they will end up like all the rest
The Qatar Foundation might be non-profit making but to be able to pay out £125 million suggests that they don't get their income from flag days.
It's a PR exercise by Qatar and makes me wonder where the Spanish vote for 2022 went. Pep Guardiola as an ambassador for the Qatari bid? Something's rotten in the state of Denmark, and I don't mean Raff.
